The preferred choice for dry condition operation in marine rudder bearing application and dry start-up(max. 2 minutes) operation in vertical pump application, SXL offers an lower dry coefficient of friction and similar wear life and abrasive resistance compared to XL.

Thordon SXL bearings have been successfully used in many deep well pumps and sea water lifting pumps, cooling water pumps of various thermal/nuclear power stations in Korea where start-up dry running periods in excess of one minute are experienced.

SXL Rudder Bearing is standardized bearing material for new shipbuilding in major Korean shipyard including Daewoo.
SXL Pump Bearing is standardized bearing material of major Korean pump manufacturer including Hysung Ebara, Leechun, Chungwoo. SXL bearings are available in wide range of sizes in both grooved and un-grooved configurations.
